Have participated in every technic group buy to date, but won't be for this one as my thoughts on the models mirrors many previous posters.

Many thanks to Podie and Russy for organising though and I look forward to some more inspiring sets next time round.

Likewise many thanks, but a very uninspiring selection of sets from Lego this time around frown.

Mirroring some of the posters above, thanks a lot to Podie and Russy for organising again this year but I am going to sit this one out.

It is hard to put my finger on it, but this years models don't really grab me. I'm not that bothered about it not being a replica - it just doesn't feel different enough to some of the previous ones. The gearbox sounds interesting but not enough to give it that spark.

Also going to pass this year, this years models have really missed the mark and I expect as others have said in a few months time these will be going for 50% off trying to clear unwanted stock.

Passing on this one too, the 6x6 is interesting but just too expensive for what it is. Would rather put that money towards getting the Unimog.

Appreciate setting it up though.

Any chance we can add 10258 to the group buy as the release date is the same?
Id love to say we could, but all these desirable models are kept exclusive to LEGO (or they do a deal with a national chain.) I dont even find out about them via LEGO and in most cases my Acc Mgr doesnt even know the sets exist until I ask...

In case anyone is undecided, there is a good video on youtube,

Pretty sure linking to YT is not allowed anymore on here, so you'll need to search for Lego 42070, it's the one called "LEGO Technic 42070: 6x6 All Terrain Tow Truck In-depth Review & Speed Build" by Sariel's Lego Workshop

Looks like an interesting enough build and it is pretty big ......

I'm not sure why linking to youtube wouldn't be allowed - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bUpxjp4byQ

Actually, that makes it look a decent build. Hmm... I might be tempted now.

Stock is arriving on Monday Afternoon. I will get an email put together ASAP so you guys can get in there early...

Its possible that an email will go out this afternoon to our normal customers, some of you may have sneaked in this list with other LEGO purchases. Just ignore this and wait until a PH Specific email comes through to you...

I remember seeing some posts with YT links being removed and the reason given was it was against the forum posting rules, specifically 12 (e)

A quick thank you to Russy & the Jadlam team for the group buy!

My Extreme Explorer arrived yesterday (super quick delivery) and having jumped straight into the build, I think the model is well worth the asking price..... the discount makes it very good value, IMO.

Thanks again to the Jadlam team, keep the PH Group Buys coming!!
