Looking good - I have a few 'Industria Mechanika'-type kits to try at some point!
Can I ask what 3D printer you have Doc? Noticed you mention it when talking about your extra drawers, aswell as for the missiles...

Randomly I built this exact kit back in the 80s, for much the same reasons as you to try something different. At the time I would have a crack at pretty much any plastic model that needed gluing together. It's still sitting on a shelf in my parents' house with all the decals peeling off as I apparently chose not to paint the main colour.

I also built that F14 robot thing, it's suffering the same fate.

It’s a Prusa i3 mk2s. It’s not really much use for modelling unless it’s a flat part - I only printed the perforated missile plates. I resin cast the missile heads and surrounds.

Yep, there were a few I think. It took me a while to find this one on EBay.

Slow progress on this one for you, but it's getting there. I take it you're still not "feeling it"?

I've got a lot of models on the go at the moment - Kittyhawk Mk.1a, Bismarck, McLaren MP4/6, Revell V8 engine...plus I've got a steam engine kit to machine (after setting up a new milling machine), and I re-started the process of getting my E-Type back on the road.

I guess I just like building things and this one always seems to get pushed back.

Yep, you do always seem to have a ton of stuff on the go, which is great for my browsing of this section of PH. smile

Trying to clear the backlog of models a bit, so I’ve started on this again.

Masked and painted the dark green pod fronts:

And repaired the head mounting that somehow got broken. The bit that snapped must have got thrown away:

Nice to see this resurrected. Again!

As a modeller from many, many moons ago it is a joy to follow your threads and reminiss somewhat, although you are in a different league.

Thanks! Yes, resurrected again. I’d forgotten about the broken and lost bits - it’s issues like that, that I guess make me lose a bit of interest in things.

So glad to see you starting to back on this one, as it's such an unusual thing, I can't wait to see the progress.
