1:18 scale repaint, where to get stickers?

I've a couple of scuffed and tatty old 1:18 TVR models, a MK 2 Tuscan Targa and a Sagaris.

Now I'm wanting to modify the Targa to be a replica of my old Tuscan convertible (body the same just needs to targa taking off and a tweek to the dashboard) and a colour change on the Sagaris. Nothing too complex in principle, but would appreciate some guidance on the following:-

- How to strip off the little plastic details without damage, the lights etc which are pressed into the metal casting, and

- Once painted, how do I replace the transfers, the filler cap, 'TVR' logo and 'tuscan' 'Sagaris' logos at 1:18. Do I print them into vinyl or can you buy them?

You could try the model manufacturer to see if they'll send you replacement decals ... otherwise, you'll probably have to make your own.

There is that company on ebay who will do nice 1/18 registration plates but may have to look at printing my own badges.

Any tips on dismantling a 1/18 scale kit rather than destroying. Taking the screws out is nicely straight forward but it's the little detail parts which I'm being cautious with, do they glue things like light lenses and covers or are they placed in position via a plastic peg which is melted over on the back (or similar)?

You can draw all the decals and have them printed by www.precisionlabels.co.uk

White, chrome, gold need to be in a seprate layer (PDF file) and in full black.

I use Inkscape to make the drawings. This part is very time consuming but is well worth the effort.
