New purchase

Oh Lordy
AliExpress. Work out at about £12.50 - £13.00 posted each.

I have another 3 on the way, with decals starting to be drawn for them.

I’m over 40, have subscribed to the Lamley Group YouTube channel, and will have to create an imaginary child if anyone ever questions why I am delving through the Hot Wheels bins

hehe

I saw the 3 car Lancia/Metro/RS200 set in my local Walmart ( these are unusual models to see in Canada!) 45c$ plus tax, so abut c$50 all in, this equates to about 30 quid, is the quality there, they look a little clumsy ?

Over here I think it’s good price for the amount of premiums you get, my lad has this set they all look good to me. Generally paying £8 a premium these days.

I have the two Jey Leno sets, from Smyths, and they are excellent. Well worth the extra

The quality varies box to box. It's worth looking at a few.

The cars are higher detail models with metal chassis and rubber tyres which would normally be around £9 each. Looking at it that way you're effectively getting the van and trailer for free so it's pretty good in my opinion.

The trailer is actually a pretty reasonable model in it's own right, even though the hitch height is different to Matchbox for no reason that I can see.

And that further illustrates the problem, I want the 6R4, like the Lancia, the RS200 is meh, and I don’t much want the trailer and van, so I am struggling to see the value.

Has anyone else seen a decline in hot wheels stocked in their local supermarkets? My local Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s all used to regularly have new deliveries but now Tesco and Asda particularly haven’t had any delivery of hot wheels for a couple of months and seem to be slowly replacing them with cheaper unbranded plastic cars instead.

I see a lot of cheap and nasty Teamster brand cars where once was hot wheels. Our Asda and Lidl both seem to have gone that way. Luckily B&M can be relied on for a good selection.
