Definitely noticed that new stocks of Hotwheels main lines are getting thin on the ground in my area, I enjoy the hunt when I have three time and I normally notice I am not the only person digging these days, which is cool.

Even places like entertainer and symths seem to be low on supply compared to a few months ago, as demand increased however, I am amazed by how many cases I find in Aldi, seems to be the new place, near the tills. Even managed to find a super treasure hunt the other day.

Be carful though, as mainline hotwheels are a gateway on the the harder more serious stuff in some cases like mine.

Premium 1/64, there is a whole another level.

I gave in, and I have to say I am quite surprised by the quality of these (bar the metro having blue headlights, I will fix that)….I also found what claims to be a 1:64 Mini Cooper, for 10$c, it’s not hot wheels, it’s a greenlight model.

It seems I have joined this slippery slope! haha

I had a few Star Wars Hot Wheels that I collected and then as my son has grown (3 soon!) I have spotted several models I've liked, one for him, one for me. I'm rather liking the Tooned ones especially the 911!

Do you guys just pick up ones you like or try and collect sets? Seems the latter would work out expensive but so far I've just picked up models I like the look of.

My son collects everything he likes which is a lot, he must have getting close to 400 hot wheels now, my collection is around 70, mainly Rally, Honda and Lotus.
I don’t buy many Hot Wheels as they are generally pretty basic, Premium, Boulevards, Elite and RLCs are pretty good and reasonably priced. Inno, Mini GT, Ignition are better quality models.
I have run out of ‘allowed’ space now so keep a little store and rotate a bit.

I did enjoy the hunt when we both started collecting, become quite frustrating last 6 months as supply is drying up in the usual places and finding the good ones has become quite tricky, due to a number of reasons.

The corvette has a cool feature, it has a clear spot in the base that if you shive a light through it comes out the lights.

Very cool.

They do them in silver and white too.

More tenuous Matchbox stuff .

Q.....Have you ever seen a Ford Escort RS 2000 with Campagnolo Bravo wheels ?.....AKA Lamborghini Countach wheels .

Probably not .

There is a Hotwheels connection as the wheel sets are sold on Ebay as for Hotwheels but can also work on Matchbox which this car is although the scale makes it slightly bigger , a 1985 Super GT car that I bought recently and then stripped down and painted brown over orange two tone .

I also have a set of Alfa GTAM , OZ Rally and some "US Mags Bronx" wheels to be fitted to other cars .

Pictures of small stuff are a bit poor .

Apologies in advance ,Sorry ,it's Matchbox man again .

I've just watched 10 Ebay auctions end for rare FIAT 131 Abarths from that same seller again .

The first was a pre production piece ,it sold for £930 ...nine hundred !

The next 2 were UK available which sold well

The last 7 were the Bulgarian versions ,I tried winning 2 of them and failed narrowly ,all sold for £20 to £36

Check sold listings for confirmation of all the above .
I hope the bidding was genuine .

Sorry again .

I trawled the local Entertainer.

Rather pleased with the El Camino and Viper; they had a three-for-two so the Audi was the best of the rest.

The Haslemere Entertainer had three on Saturday.

That probably isn't any help, sorry.

Haha no but I have an Entertainer locally I'll pop into if I can't find one in my local spots.

I saw at least one in a B&M today - they're worth a look, but they're often scattered on storps and stands all over the shop....

Usually what they have seems to be from the older cases, but they had the remains of a fairly recent one today.
