Bought an egress, avante and a kyosho optima mid, first two need building, so looking forward to that.
The egress 2013 comes with black turnbuckles though, which is a bit disappointing, so I was on the lookout for blue ones. Ended up paying £50! But I had to have them!
Can see how this little hobby can get expensive!

Getting a new kit becomes easier and easier to justify doesn’t it.The egress 2013 comes with black turnbuckles though, which is a bit disappointing, so I was on the lookout for blue ones. Ended up paying £50! But I had to have them!

I've currently got....
Lunchbox from 15 years ago.
Madbull
Rising fighter
Grasshopper
Pajero rally... Yet to build
Brat.. Yet to build
Monster beetle.... Yet to build.
The monster beetle is a replacement for the one I had however many years ago, the grasshopper I built in October.. The others, because I wanted them years ago and couldn't afford them.
I also found a falcon as a gift for my brother recently, built but never run, with acoms gear, a technigold motor and the Beatties bag.... Which led to him immediately buying a 911 and a hornet.
Pure nostalgia for me, they will all end up on a shelf having never turned a wheel.
Search continues for a nova fox, a boomerang, a bigwig and a hot shot.
The I'll likely stop. For a while.

Finished my Boomerang restore :
It's a 58055 original kit, but I had to replace so many broken plastic parts, its not far off a new build. The shell is a Re Release shell with an MCI sticker kit.
Its running a TBLE02 ESC with a Torque Tuned motor, and I've kept the original Futaba Attack R radio gear etc.
Pretty please with how its turned out and its pretty good fun to drive !

When I started this thread I was about to pre-order the re-re of the Egress; I've just received an update from the local Tamiya dealer stating that they are expected into the UK on the 11th July, and should be available 1-3 weeks after that. Will update with build pics when I finally get my hands on it!

Are you going to run it?A little tip, stock up on front gearbox halves and front suspension mounts (the carbon upright).
These are the parts that commonly break and can be a bd to find when you actually need them!
See pic for evidence!

They are lovely looking things, but I can't bring myself on spending that sort of money on a Tamiya kit, they are a £150 level of kit, not £400+Caddyshack said:

I bought mine from Beatties - loved that buggy. Mine had a hot motor, ball bearings, Bigwig wheels and the Supershot front suspension. Restored mine too a few years ago but it’s a bit “Trigger’s Broom” as I replaced so much too…
That looks good in Corsa Grey; I was going to use it on my 2CV but ended up going for black.
I've just picked up my Egress this morning; not a cheap kit but it looks great. Willpower depending, I might delay building until we move into our new house next year as I don't really have much space at the moment.
