I have one of these on order and genuinely can't wait to receive it.

Takes various Tamiya parts, add a glut of 3d printed parts, in bespoke packaging.
Since reserving one, you get a weekly update video and its amazing at the amount of time the guy has put into developing, prototyping parts, printing etc.
All screws and fixings come in a 3d printed box that becomes a display stand, shocked at the thought and detail that gone into it. One guy ha done all the box design, all the printing, a real passion project for him.

Kudos to the guy for doing so, i'm genuinely excited to be getting delivery
Nice!

I loved my 959 back in the day.

I wonder how strong the 3d printed stuff will be but I bet most become shelf queens anyway.

Looks good for a replica on a different chassis with some really nice detail.

If you’re restoring an original and don’t happen to be a millionaire then MCI Racing do a complete set of 3D-printed parts:

Looks like a cool project. Wasn’t the original 1:12? And this one 1:10 so a bigger model.

It certainly does look cool. I used to love my 959, not sure I can quite justify the cost here though.

It still shows as 1:12 on the box and it looks a very similar size to the original in the video on the site.

Sorry yes it does appear to be 1:12. Didn't realise it's based on an M-chassis which although marketed as 1:10 are smaller than a "proper" touring car size chassis (225mm vs 255mm wheelbase).

Hotshot 2 Blockheads with a difference build started, I forgot how relaxing these things can be! I’ve not built a Tamiya buggy since the rere Hotshot in 2007.
I thought I’d ordered everything, but have just realised I need a new receiver so I can use it with my new radio. I could use an old one but I want to run all cars off the same one now. So if the weather is any good I’ll do the body spraying tomorrow.

Latest acquisition from Tamico arrived today; I ordered it when it was on offer (great deal even with the duty) but it got caught up in customs and I’ve been a way for a few weeks so scheduled delivery for today. Can’t wait to build it; the BZ motor is for my Egress. I was also delighted to get notification that my Team Associated RC10 had shipped…to our friends house in Florida so it’s going to have to wait till September before I get my hands on it. The only other buggy I really want is the Kyosho Turbo Optima, but that is going to have to wait.
