Presumably if you got the whole cartridge you could re-use the powder to make little cannon which actually fire the shot, thus giving the model ship added "play-value".
Again, thanks for the replies, have found somewhere, the 'Plastic Ball Company' that can do what I require - they had to be plastic, EU/EEC rules are now very odd when it comes to shot, no matter what composite it is!
