That looks superb!!
Looks like a huge amount of work has gone into that!!!
Appreciate that comment. Many thanks for that.

Started it 5 years back then put it a way in loft. Restarted it last winter and took it to an almost completed and working stage. Hopefully this winter I'll do the finishing touches and complete it.

Thank you again!!

This one doesn't warrant a separate thread as it is really just a toy rather than a true scale model but I thought it would make a nice quick project. I actually started it a few years ago so it wasn't that quick in the end.. It's 1/300 scale so very small. The NASA markings are home made.

I do have this 1/72 version in the "to do" pile but I understand that it is a true "beast" of kit, in every meaning of the word.

Wow!! I love the Valkyrie, have a 1/300 scale Concorde in my stash so it would be interesting to get one of these and put the two side by side, I believe they're about the same size.

As a modeller myself I really can see how much work has gone into it-what scale is it? It looks exactly as I remember the waltzers at the fair when I was much younger lol.are the panels around it painted or decals?
I can almost smell the candy floss and hear the old Gardner diesel generator engines!!
I do a little bit of scratch building (lorry bodies/trailers to go with the lorries I build) but your waltzer ride is something else!!
More pics please!!

Love the Waltzer, spent many hours on a full scale one at the local fair decades ago. I even worked on it and had great fun spinning the cars with the girls in, as you do! Also worked on the Divebomber which was another brilliant ride. Those were excellent days.

Thanks for that and interesting to hear you actually worked on the real thing. It'd be great to chat to you about that some time. Cheers

No worries! It was probably the best and most popular ride at the fair, along with the Divebomber, which I also worked on. It's nice to see different models even though I'm a huge car fan, and in my younger days it was planes and boats.

Trying to get my mojo back I thought I’d do a very quick build of one of Bandais fine star wars kits.
It’s more of a action figure / model kit hybrid. The engineering is so good no cement is required, but I used it anyway. Looks good with just a bit of chipping and weathering. These really are kits anyone can build.

Have been putting my latest Tamiya acquisition together this weekend.

Shell to be painted next. Waiting on a couple of paints arriving and a decent day weather wise so the garage isn’t too cold for painting in.

Should look like this when complete.

My Delorean DMC 12 from polar lights

A terrible old style snapfit kit so I decided to go old school for a one day build.

No airbrush or fancy masking. All brush painted like I used to do as a youngster.

Not a bad days work.

Panel fit is way better than a real Delorean!
