Well here is a rolling road which my mate decided to build after much trouble with his Team Losi LST 1. Very useful for easier tuning and set up of our trucks. Not hard to see what the main frame is but the rollers are fully adjustable and are from an old conveyor belt. Trucks are simply held down by a few cable ties. The trucks obviosuly only need them on the rear really but are all round for added safety and stability. The cooling of the trucks is rather crude as we simply use a fan, keeps them a little too cool if anything, even after a full tank on my Savage the head was still only warm, to warm the trucks up we just turn it off for a minute. Only had a few runs on it each but it has proved a great success and his truck is set-up miles better now and it has been so much easier as it allows you to turn needles whilst the truck is under half/full throttle or whatever you want. Only used it in his garage so far, fumes are a minor issue but you soon get used to them !!! His Team Losi runs on 20% and only stings the eyes and throat a little but my Savage is 25% and seems to be alot more acrid !!

Only a few pics and vids but im sure more will go up !!

My truck is an old school and very trusty Savage 21, only real trouble ive had is the roto-start FUBAR'ing on me !! I run 25% in mine.

Mates truck is a Team Losi LST 1 and is also very trusty, has never been fond of idling as hard to set up, once warmed up and rolling though its very quick, runs on 20%.

A shot of the rolling road just before the first runs on it.

A shot of the LST 1 just after a run, plenty of smoke still hanging !!

The LST 1 during a run as seen by the smoke coming from the exhaust !!

The Savage during a run,

The acrid aftermath of one of the Savage's run !!

This is a vid of my Savage 21 having a run,

I've no wish to teach granny to suck eggs, but the fumes from a nitro car are just as poisonous as the real thing, so should always be operated with plenty of ventialtion available.

Nice idea on the road though.

Message received and understood, and good advice it is !! We do go and stand outside after pretty much every run and have the windows open to draw the smoke out, its only normally smoky when we have a run without the fan running. All part of the fun, its how I get my nitro fix outside of the Drag Racing season !!
