i have a losi nitro truck and have a couple of problems

its fitted with a roto start with a battery pack to start it

firstly it always starts from cold which is good i have a big problem pulling away from a standstill very very easy to stall it id say a 1/4 throttle problem is there anything i can do to help this ?

also when ive emptied a tank or if it stalls when warm it is very very very hard to start ive read on here about the one way bearing is it really easy to change or clean out is it a case of removing the exhaust and manifold then take the cover off ?

is it possable to fit a pull string with the roto start so cold start i can use the rotor and hot the pull string ? or is it just worth fitting a pull string and binning the roto stuff.

It sounds like it's running hot, are you running it a bit weak or on low oil content fuel?

Hi Mate

Im guessing your running a LST2 or aftershock ?
Thats very good if it starts from cold (most are a pain in the ar5e!)

Its quite normal for them to stall from cold a couple of times, when you get it running just drive it around very slowly and let the engine warm

Once the engine is warmed up a bit (see if there is fuel spitting from the ehaust) if so turn the LSN (low speed needle) a 1/4 of a turn clockwise (no more than a 1/4 either at a time) this will lean the fuel at the bottom end and run around slowly again and see if it responds better to more throttle and they do need sometimes to cool down after a run depending how hot the engine gets, the piston and sleeve contract when they cool down so you get more compression easyer starting

Well if it starts no problem cold then i would say its not the one way bearing, because should slip hot or cold, but if it does a few squrts of WD40 would sort that out

Honestly i wouldn't bother with the pullstart i know people than have done that and ended up going back to rotostarts
