Finally a no frills approach to models:

http://www.cheapdiecastmodels.com

I have purchased from them recently and they are very fast and VERY CHEAP.

They sell the new AutoArt Lotus Europa for £40 (free delivery), GPL sell it for £63 + Delivery!!!!!!

Can't fault their service, at last a serious player to kill off GPL smile

Good find, used them myself.

O/T:

I've got to ask though, and all joking aside, can you explain why in nearly every post you are calling for plague and pestilence on GPL? An unhappy customer experience I can understand but you do seem to take it to a whole new plateau. I may just be speaking for myself, but I know I would take your continual damnation of them a touch more serious if you explained the source of your ire. Apologies if you already have and no offence intended if you'd rather not say.

Looks like a decent enough website although not that many actual products on it though I suppose that might change as they grow.

TBH I wouldn't consider that to be 'the future' though. There are plenty of very good, professional eBay sellers that are cheaper and offer a very good service. Similarly there are still a lot of good model shops about if you go to the trouble of finding them. It's not just GPL or Modelzone you know biggrin

Just trying to be a voice for the small guys out there (I was one once!!) If you knew what I knew then you'd understand, but I'm not going to going to say anymore!

Let's focus on the good guys out there, and as mentioned above, yes there are other sites and ebayers around, though many are 'back bedroom' operations and I wouldn't trust my personal details with them. This guy seems very honest and open, and having had a model arrived damaged the other day he's bent over backwards to help me, and not a penny was charged to me.

Customer service still exists, but the Internet is making harder to find it, so when I do I'm happy to shout about it. Too many can hide behind a web page - and as someone in the Internet Industry, I can normally tell from a site pretty quickly who to trust and who not to, though the GPL things goes a lot deeper...
