I've been jumping up and down like a big excited daft kid all afternoon. Mrs Mighty presented me with my birthday present early as we're away next week!

So I'm now looking for box art bumpers and wheels/covers on ebay and thinking about scratchbuilding a roofrack and a surfboard.

My new Sand Scorcher has just been delivered. Been looking forward to playing with it for 30 years, and now I don't know whether I should even take it out of the box! confused

You're going to have to buy two, one to keep and one to build! wink

I think the originals will still be highly sought-after by collectors, provided they are new and boxed. The prices may go down a little, but only a little.

People with immaculate, finished models will probably be the most upset as there will be little to separate what they own versus the re-release.

Tamiya Club UK do original type stickers for it. I bought a set for my Rough Rider. You could easily make a perfect 1970's replica by buying things like original shocks etc off ebay.

Ah, they've started that back up have they? Didn't realise.

Work area in the garage is getting underway. Needs heating though. Oil filled radiator or fan heater?

If you're painting, oil radiator.

Why do you say that? So it doesn't blow dust around, I guess?

Started on the Sand Scorcher build today...

Just the wheels to make up now, then painting. First run will be on the sands at Bournemouth next weekend I hope.
