I've been into nitro trucks and buggies for a few years, including many rebuilds etc, but the one thing I can't get my head round is diffs.
I've got a Hyper ST. Its currently set up so that more power goes to the front axle. Does anyone know how to change it so that I can get some more power to the rear.
Basically, I would like, say 60-70% of the power to the back.

I'm running 5k,7k,1k currently but I am running a spider diff in the centre, basicaly reduce the weight and increase the drive.

The amount of 'drive' to either end is dependant on lots of things - only one of which is diff oils.

The amount of drive to each end will vary constantly depending on which wheel(s) have contact with the ground.

The only way to change the ratio from front to rear is to change the size of the crown wheel on the diff ie effectively 'overdrive' the back end. Don't think this is an option of the ST.

By putting thicker oil in the centre diff you can nullify the effects of lack of traction at one end but it will tend to increase on-power oversteer - not always what you want on an ST wink and will also tend to make it harder to drive on bumpy tracks.

If you can give us an idea of what you're trying to achieve I may be able to help out a bit more.

Thanks BB
Basically, I use the truggy just for running at a local park.
It seems that most of the power is going to the front, which creates lots of wheelspin, but the acceleration suffers.
The truggy handles great, but as i'm not racing, I would prefer more of the bias to the rear, even if it does make the front end light under acceleration.
