12.5" wingspan! Reckon it could be a bit lively.

Started building....
Have run the motor up and it has got bags of thrust.
Spoke to gbd (Julian) they re wind all of the motors themselves. He reckons it will go 300 feet vertical with no problem, but fly slowly too.
Fingers crossed, will post an update when complete

I had a similar aicraft - F4 Phantom with 72mm ducted fan.

Went like the clappers but had 'issues' wth the desert wind here. Not very stable. Perhaps a masure of my lack of experience too.....

I'd be very interested to hear how this goes. I fancy something like this for acting a hooligan with when I want a change from the motor glider.

That said, the latter is somewhat hooligan-ish itself, having a positive power to weight ratio hehe.
