Been thinking about starting a collection of diecast models but for some reason have always been preoccupied with 1:18. Having see this and the detail of some of these 1:43's I may have to go this route - take up a whole lot less space also!

Do you stick with one manufacturer, or are they various? Which ones offer the best range of models, level of detail against price? Have been looking a bit at Minichamps and they seem good.

Got to convince the Mrs that a display cabinet full of model cars is the right thing to have in the living/dining room!

I have loads of diferent makes, all depends on your theme. Minichamps are my favoured brand, they are consistently accurate & reasonably priced. Although I have loads of Ixo rally cars & a few Spark resin models too. Im trying to get a few Neo models as their range is great & they are superbly detailed aswell.

This is true, but for most of us waiting until you can afford a full-size one means you'll be 120 before you get it, so carry on!
