Die Cast Helos and Fixed Wing.
Discussion
I have a small collection of die cast Corgi aircraft. To stop me going OTT I only colelct aircraft I have flown in.
So I have RN 771 Sea King, RAF 202 SK, SH60 Sea Knight. I'm looking at getting the Corgi VC10 C1K.
What I am looking for are the following ready built in teh same scale at Corgi.
Lynx HAS3 and HMA8. SK ASac7 SK HC4 and civvy Sikorsky S61N and an RAf liveried L1011 Tristar C2 as well as an RAF liveried BAe146.
Not a bad collection of military aircraft for a civvy!
Anyone make these.

The most popular airliner scale is 1/144 (half 1/72 obviously). Airfix standardised on this in the early 1960s and most plastic kit airliner models are in this scale. Many of the Airfix airliners are still obtainable and Minicraft have increased the range of plastic kit airliners in 1/144 scale over the past 15 years or so. Welsh Models do an interesting range of 1/144 vacform airliners too.Revell have entered the fray with a range of 1/144 airliners over the past decade and some of these are REALLY nice.
Because of the popularity of 1/144 for airliners, Corgi opted for 1/144 scale as well as they fit in well with the existing plastic kits.
The French company Heller have produced some 1/125 scale airliners and Hasegawa do a nice range in 1/200 airliners.
