Just look at Lot 260 in the November 5th Auction (and a load of other aviation models).

I'd prefer a full size one.

Ahh - but would it be a 'scale' model? wink

20 years ago Sothebys were selling (from RAF Halton) a Provost
Trainer. It had a really low estimate/reserve and I thought that
it would be an amusing item to have as a 'toy' for my children
(not a good idea I was told as the canopy was very heavy with no
hydraulics!). Needless to say it went for a lot of money and I came away
from the sale without it.

Ah - that's what I was alluding to in my slightly vague reference above. I was out last night but intend to watch it in iPlayer tonight.

I intended to miss it, but two people 'phoned me and insisted I watch it. One of them was my Dad, who used to help me build models, the other was my missus, who views kit building as a strange & pointless activity for an adult, so I thought I'd better show some interest.
