Another Fine Mesh...

Does anyone have any ideas on where to get very fine mesh? I want to make intake inserts for my Spitfire, because at the moment they are just recessed solid plastic.

I've seen some very fine brass mesh somewhere (I think it was a gas filter of some kind), but I can't think where I'd seen it. I even remember thinking at the time it would be a good source of free model radiator inserts!

A tobbaconist or a hippy shop might have some brass pipe gauzes, these are of a fine mesh construction, about 1/2 inch diameter circle.

Another good place to get fine mesh is from a frying pan anti-spitting cover. They have a very fine steel mesh and can be bought from Wilkinson for 99p.
