Motorbike models

Which company makes the best scale models of motorbikes, I need some model of a super bike, essentially the cheapest will do.

I need to buy a "kit" or put together a kit for someone as a gift, hopefully it may get the recipient into modelmaking.

Anyway, I have assembled these things in days gone by, essentially I need to purchase the model itself, primer and spray paint? All the decals etc are included in the box IME.

I have seen some models come with little pots of paint, IME the finish on these is extremely variable.

Anyone able to suggest what I should purchase, along with which paints, I don't really want to buy like 10 different cans that will be used to paint an exchaust tip or the like.

I've always built Tamiya bikes, never had any problems with the parts fitting together etc. Also find their paints very good too!
