Hi,
I'd love a Porsche 911 / 935 but can't afford the real thing. In the 1980s when I was a nipper I was given a red Porsche 911 / 935 (upright headlights) - back then it was just a "racing car" but now I realise if must have been a Kremer 911 or 935. The car was probably 1:43 scale and had a pull-back motor - it was very quick across my gran's hall floor but that wasn't long enough to do it justice...

I have been looking on ebay for one to buy but not knowing what make it is results in pages of results and no hits - can any of you PH'ers help please?

I also had a Martini 935 in 1:24 scale - that was definitely by Bburago and I wonder if that was the make of the red Porsche...

hope you can help!

In regards to the 1:43 pull back model. Do you remember if it was plastic or diecast?

There are a few diecast display models on ebay by Quarto and Fujimi.

Looks rather fetching in Jagermesiter Orange war paint.

Hi,
it was diecast and I think it had opening doors IIRC - it was quite well-detailed for a pull-back car.

I think I had (maybe still have) one of those, in fact both.

I definitely have the 935.

If the pull back 911 turbo was red with a white whale tail, chrome wheels and rubber tyres, opening doors with quarterlights from memory and used to make a vroom buzzzzsht sound as the motor ran back out after being pulled back I did indeed have one!! Had paper stickers too from memory, maybe martini stripes but viper style up and over bonnet and roof with a race number in the centre of the bonnet sticker and numbers on the doors? I peeled them off as I recall.

The pullback sounds like an MC toy version, I had one with yellow wheels.

Got a few quartzo ones:
