Nice one! Let me know if you fancy going out for a blast when the weather improves.

Cheers Craig

No issues at all, and I stiffened the Ohlins for some track insutruction back in October. Otherwise I just leave it in the B road setting.
That was me peeping at you this morning mate. I was in the white passat wagon. Just in case you wondered what nutter was waving to you. 😂Was good to see the silver weapon out and about.

Nice one. I would have come up however I have plans. Hope it’s dry enough. It has its own climate up there.

When I put on wheel spacers, 16 mm/side back, 5 mm front i get tramlining. It´s not a big deal below 100 mph but when you start to push, the car feels unstable and sometimes dangerous. The spacers is only for looks and I definitely prefer good performance than looks but ideally I want both.
Has anybody used wheel spacers + alignment and did the car felt ok after that?
It´s a CUP.
I´m not from the UK, sorry if it´s hard to read my text.

I never liked the wheel position in the wheel arches much, but the chassis was so good i didn't want to butcher the handling so just had the geometry/alignment done by a good place and it was always excellent.

Just came to say that after almost 6 months with the E92 M3, the Megane 275 put a far bigger smile on my face for all of the 18 months or so I owned it. The M3 suckered me in with that hyped up V8 but the bitter reality is its a heavy car that the S65 doesn't suit well at all, it handles well but doesnt feel that great and I reckon might keep up in the corners with the 275, but the Megane was far more entertaining. The steering rack in the M3 is piss poor too, slow and mushy which is very noticeable coming from the Megane. Really has put into perspective how good that 275 was.

Im thinking ill keep the M3 for a few months then try sell it, then itll be a 2 car driveway with a daily and a lotus I think.

Good to know Mike

I've been thinking a lot about my 275 Cup-S replacement and the E92 M3 was one option.

I need to get the 997.1 C2S idea through the man maths calculator next it seems... biggrin

I will be replacing the Cup-S with a M2 but not before next year. I am hoping it will feel more nimble than the E92 indeed. Surely the shorter wheelbase will help ?

Going to be doing the same I think.
Cup-S will very likely be replaced in the rew year with a M2 Competition.
Unless the new Megane Trophy is out and takes my eye away from the M2C that is......

Yes it sold 2 months ago for £16.800 vs £19.850 new 2 years earlier, need to update garage ! Saving up for the M2 so no track days this year for me, Bike Park Wales instead lol. The M2 will be for Ring trips mainly and a couple of UK tracks that are open and not relying on brakes too much, probably Silverstone or even Snet. Yes hope to see you around in 2019!

Fair enough buddy. Pretty good £cost pcm when all things are considered!

Watch yourself on the A470 jump line, that thing has kicked my ass a few times haha

Ah ! I only do flow blues and reds as I only have a Meta HT albeit with a Yari 160mm. The only black I have cleared is the rock garden after the tunnel...

One day I hope my car will drive excellent too.
I´ve been to a Motorsport garage twice which use WheelCam (if I did understand it correctly) and also to the Renault dealer.

The rear Toe is out of tolerance on both sides. Total Toe is +10,2 mm.

In august the car will be back to the dealer and they will put on a new rear axle. I very much hope it will be the end of this handling problem.
Another thing I noticed is when the tread wear the car gets far more stable. Especially in the back it makes a big difference to have 5 mm tread instead of 8 mm.
Anyone noticed the same?

Mine tramlined a lot more with worn front tyres. Just like Clio 172/182 I've had in the past. Can't say I've noticed it feeling more stable with worn tyres.

Never noticed the tyre thing, I ran 245 section SuperSports on mine and up until about 3mm tread they did nothing but grip superbly. Car always had a tendency to tramline over uneven roads especially when overtaking and crossing over the middle of the road but never really noticed any torque steer

Are Recaros essential when buying a 275 as the one I'm looking at has the fabric seats?

No but it was essential spec for me biggrin I just don't like the look of the standard seats. Never sat in one!

On other hand some want the standard seats as they are heated (or it's certainly an option).
