Citroen Cactus - what a disappointment.

I had one as a courtesy car for a month, and although I quite like the design, I couldn't get on with the controls. Most things inside are controlled by an iPad type device on the dash, so you have to take your eyes off the road to look at the buttons, as opposed to tactile buttons you can feel your way around on an ordinary car. In order to change music or temperature you have to navigate through menus.

Agree, my biggest bugbear is that it doesn't have a few physical shortcut buttons but I get why they didn't as saves money. Those eight buttons should really be raised to make them easier to find with a single touch.MarshPhantom said:
Hydraulic suspension also became a bit of a problem on older vehicles.
That has never been my experience in 20+ years of hydraulic Cit ownership.. On my 25 year old CX (now sold), the suspension was brill, it was other issues (heater matrix) that were the nightmares. Even on a proper banger C5 I bought in an emergency, the suspension was fine - it was the auto box that was crap. Currently I have a C5 X7 (the 'new' shape one) with proper (Hydro) suspension. I drive a lot of hire cars for work and my god, the difference between steel springs and decent hydro is night and day. Even people know know nothing about cars comment on how comfortable mine is.
