The UK's 'former most prolific R26.R reseller' can testify this car is superb. From memory it was formerly Renaultsport enthusiast Martin W car so had the suspension polybushes replaced just prior to selling it to me.I will shortly be selling my R26.R which is #95

Hi guys,
Just caught wind of this thread. I'm glad to hear there is love for the old r! I bought an R26r last July for the sole purpose as a second track car, and which had been fettled with over the years with forged internals etc running over 430 hp and used a lot at the Ring. Unfortunately when I received the car, things started to go wrong, mainly as a result of previous owners messing around. Anyway to cut a long story short, I decided to start from scratch with it and spent over 12k doing engine rebuild, new paddle clutch, slave, gearbox, turbos, wastegate, geometry(car is running 2 way Nitrons) brakes etc. Now car is finally sorted and ready for track duties! Car is running about 420hp(fairly easily and conservatively) and so really looking forward to getting a good track season out of it. It is mega on the road thus far, but hopefully will do a Silverstone very soon. So if you see a white R26r with black wheels and cage (YT09) then come say hello.

Hi Squirdan
Having had 2.5 replacement bonnets under warranty I really don't want to have to buy bonnet number 4 in full myself, I noticed that you have some heat shielding / "reflection", what do you have exactly and has it been successful on your car and others?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

i cant help with details as it was done by a prev owner, but appears to be self adhesive gold leaf (or synthetic), its pretty thin and stuck straight to the bonnet. certainly the carbon is A1 and no clouding at all so I would say it has definitely helped.
