Renaultsport Megane R26.R - prices
Discussion
Fair to say the supercharged Nomad was somewhat faster.
Meanwhile as a lesson in not selling special, limited edition, and raved about cars - I used to own this very 968CS and sold it for £28k. Been advertised recently for £50k
See the similarities....lighter, stripped out drivers spec, not many made, lairy decals. Lots were crashed or turned into track cars

A reply from the person who in 2009 sold a lovely immaculate low mileage black total spec E46 M3 CSL taken in PX against one of the new R26.R I bought from Sewards for about £23500 IIRC :-S
Nce to see a pic of the car in the wild.

In 2009 I sold my 18k mile CSL for £32k which I thought was great because that's what I had paid for it in 2008, then bought my R at 1k miles which now has 24k
In 2001 I sold my Delta EVO 1 for.............. £4,5k having bought an EVO RSX which I still have!

I have a list of the cars manufactured, one or two have altered slightly, like the addition of a genuine Ti exhaust, and of course while the list shows 159 cars the most I can see registered or SORN at any time since 2009 was 95.
Hi that would be genuinely useful for the community, do you know if it is available on the net anywhere or would you be interested or able to share it here or elsewhere?Your numbers back up the claims people made back of then of dealers offering all sorts of deals to offload the cars. Sad thing for me is 2009 is when I burned the discounted price of building a race car worth perhaps 1/3rd of a nice condition R26.R today.
You live and learn as they say.

We had a Lunar grey car in stock, cafe, Ti exhaust. I was quite fat at the time so couldn’t fit in the seat
We couldn’t find a buyer for the thing, I got offered it at ridiculous discount but passed, we transferred it to another dealer in the end!
Actually I've had mine (cage, no Ti, no climate) since Feb 2010, it was regd in June 09, I paid £18.5k with 1k miles, it didn't seem especially cheap at the time, cars with some miles and no cage were more like £16.5k In about 2011/12We couldn’t find a buyer for the thing, I got offered it at ridiculous discount but passed, we transferred it to another dealer in the end!
2009 Renault Sport F1 Team Megane R26.R - Low Miles - Stunning Car - P/X WHY? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2...
What’s going on here then?
No decals from new? - maybe
Odd front brake calipers - mentions updated discs but why would calipers be silver?
Documents lost whilst in storage? Really
Fair enough v low miles but something smells fishy to me.

Actually, after one or two recent horrors this one looks pretty legit.
A few owners went for black and decal removal for obvious reasons. I removed a set with a hot air gun once for a conservative buyer.
The car is old enough that the front calipers needed replacing, particularly if not used much the pistons could have seized up and easier to replace calipers than recondition. The owner may not be bothered about having matching calipers if car for track days.
Performance Friction floating disc upgrade is normal enough, especially for track use.
I'm surmising, but low miles and admitted early track use, may have been left at Nbg by owner, that's come up before as reason for low miles and honest update on use. Would explain missing book pack etc. So long as there is a V5 and traceable on HPI / Experian I'd start from there and get a professional inspection done for signs of re-painting etc.

I think it's worth putting this link on in it's own right.
Car #002 which I have bought and sold a couple of times. Now on sale again at a specialist dealer.
