Couple of questions please:

1) If you have the RS monitor, how do the 5 pedal response settings work after a map? Do you effectively need 5 maps or is the throttle mapping separate and unaffected? Also, is the normal mode map unaffected by a map?

2) I assume the readings on the bar graph view do not really 'know' how much power/torque is being employed and simply calculate it from revs/throttle opening. In other words, after a map it will continue to show a max of 275bhp and not the new 300ish you actually now have?

Thanks folks.

I think, having done more research, that I now know the answers:

  • The throttle mapping is unaffected so you keep your pedal modes with a new map
  • The RS monitor has no idea what 'real' power/torque are being delivered so will now under-read (turbo boost is a genuine reading however so will indicate increased pressure)
  • The normal driving mode is not affected
Let me know if I'm wrong please smile

You can have a re-map applied to any of the driving modes

For me, normal mode is as per factory 250bhp. Sport and Race mode will be ~310bhp. If you wanted to, you could have the higher power map loaded against the normal setting too. They are just different maps stored on the ECU

Throttle pedal calibration settings aren't affected, as the re-mapping work only alters the fuelling/boost regulation

As far as I'm aware, RS Monitor is able to calculate "real" power, as when the engine de-rates in heat soak situations it shows less than 273bhp at full throttle.
