Wonder whats happened to Sixpeed and his DS7?

Anyway, I have enhanced mine by having wind deflectors fitted to the front windows. Was troubled by terrible wind pressure drumming when having the drivers window open on its own so it was several windows open, or none.

Anyway, these are genuine accessories and at £88 fitted thay make a world of difference.

Hi - took delivery of my nice new shiny DS7 on Monday and looking for some help - I asked on french car forum and was told "read the manual" - well I have and it didn't help!

@silverthorn2151 - you're clearly the expert and live just down the road from me (I'm in Waltham Abbey), so you may actually see another DS7 driving around! I've only seen one locally and thats multiple sightings of the same one in Epping.

Is there anyway of displaying total/average MPG? I can only seem to get the live MPG.

Edit - just discovered its in the app - but surely there's a way to have it on the dash?

Hi there. There aren't many of us in the area....or at all! I have seen a black one and a grey one on local roads. Mines the red one with an E4 plateif you see me about.

The trip computer is rubbish. Press the end of the right stalk and you get current info. Press again and it goes to trip 1, hold the button in and it resets, press again for trip 2. I haven't bothered with the app as it told me my car had done 18000 and needed a service.

I really love mine and that gets stronger each trip I take.

Well if you see a black one, with the matt black wings (frivilous option! But it does look very gangster...) that'll be me.

I posted this on the DS Owners Lounge (where I'm assuming you're Chris?)) - I got Prestige spec which should have ambient lighting, but mine hasn't got it, nor is there any option in the menus to activate it. Isn't std at that spec?

Its hardly a deal breaker, but I did like the glow at night in my old car. Given I've waited 8 months for the car I'm not returning it now to get it retro fitted, just curious why it hasn't got it when the spec clearly states it should have.

Hi all
Had my DS7 Prestige for just over a week and not been able to find many places they discussed at all, so glad to find this thread. Enjoyed reading your updates silverthorn from new to now!

love the car so far, have one issue and wondering if anyone’s experienced similar?

the interior lighting seems to have a life of its own?! There's a row of 3 lights in the front near the rearview mirror, 1 courtesy lamp & 2 reading lamps, and 2 reading lamps to the rear. These are either on or off, same brightness no matter what I change, even though Prestige is meant to have 'ambient lighting'.
When mood lighting is on, all of these lights remain on at this full brightness whilst driving the car.
Sometimes they go off after 5 minutes, sometime half an hour. Sometimes they stay on for a whole trip! ( I can't see any pattern to it) They are too bright really to have on as low level convenience lighting whilst driving at night, but otherwise its total darkness apart from the light given off by the instrument cluster/ info system.
Anyone experienced similar, or is it as I'm thinking an electrical fault on mine? Thanks!

So that's about £300/month? Sounds like a good deal.

Mine is the 1.6 225bhp performance line and I love it. Mine was one of the first delivered and I'm paying £400 month.

Our 7 year old springer spaniel jumps in ok
I put a towel over the bumper and she gets enough purchase if she's a bit tired.

It's fantastic. Just coming up to 20k miles. Changed to a new set of Goodyear F1s about 2k miles ago and other than that its had 2 services at Robins and Day in Chingford who have been fantastic.

I use it on mixed roads and regular long round trips for work which includes m25, m11, m40 A40, A14 and in heavy traffic its tremendous.

Its turning circle resembles a London taxi which is great in car parks built for Escorts and Capris. I love it, I really do. I have the performance line 1.6 with the alcantara interior. My courtesy car last service was a DS7 with manual box and leather interior. I didn't like it anywhere near as much as mine. I would suggest trying some with varying trim levels.

I'm waiting to try the hybrid when my dealer gets one in. It seems rather over priced to be honest but I hope there will be deals to be done when this one goes back.

I have heard horror stories about the dealers on a dedicated DS forum so that should probably be considered ahead of purchase. As I said above, R and D treat me like a valued customer rather than a car buyer.

And not seeing many around is a nice bonus in my book.

A first post for me, but good to find a small group of owners of the DS7!

I have just bought one of the new special edition Louvre models, which I am collecting in 2 weeks time. It is ink blue , and is essentially the petrol 225 bhp ultra prestige car with a load of random Louvre museum stuff on it. Needless to say buying it somewhat discounted from the 47k sticker price!

The Louvre will be the new family wagon . Driven mainly quirky French cars through my driving life.(I am.43) including several xantias, an XM, a C4 coupe, a cactus , a C1 airscape. I am also lucky enough to also own an Alpine A110 legende . So the new fleet of the Louvre and Legende very much my love letter to quirky, French and rare motoring !

I will post some.photos of the Louvre when I have it.

Look forward to the pics and to hear your thoughts.

I keep coming back to these...I love quirky French cars (former DS5 hybrid owner...yes it was me that bought one hehe) but I am not a huge SUV fan. Having said that, the new DS4 looks really cool. And apparently the DS9 is coming soon...

I have to say that I was sceptical about the whole DS thing at the beginning, but they do seem to be getting there.

Yes will do .

I am not sure how long the DS brand will last in the U.K. to be honest. It takes a brave soul to opt for a DS over a German equivalent.

Then again , you don’t get free entry through a ‘special entrance’ to the Louvre and hundreds of other art galleries when you buy an Audi Q5! The car also bizarrely has 200 podcasts loaded onto it , accessed through the infotainment system , with accompanying pictures of exhibits in the Louvre under a heading ‘ A day at the Louvre’. Like most quirky French car stuff you either get that sort of thing or don’t !

Well welcome to a small but stylish club. Mine is a 225bhp performance line. It's 3 years old in April so I was an early adopter. absolutely love mine and struggle to see anything to replace it with in 12 months. Waiting for a weekends test of the hybrid model but its pretty expensive. Have to see how keen they are to shift them.

I did hear this week that there is a plan to shut quite a number of DS outlets. Won't pot me off though.

My guess is that they will go largely online with a few anchor sites, similar to Tesla.

I would be surprised if they pulled out of the UK. I read somewhere that their UK market share has overtaken Lexus. Admittedly that says as much about Lexus as it does about DS, but they do seem to be on an upward trend. The new DS4 looks really, really nice.

Picked up my new DS7 Louvre yesterday.

First impressions. Lovely in the flesh and quite ‘ bling’ with the massive grill and very swish lights. Interior is fabulous to look at with the clock a real statement. The Louvre bits and bobs around the car are nice touches.

Driving - had it in comfort mode which combined with the magnificent seats is sublime. I have had a couple of xantias in the past and the comfort and suspension of this thing is very similar. Gave it a bit of beans in one corner and it rolled around like an old tug boat in a storm, this is not a car to be racing around in and is noticeably looser and softer than a VAG product of similar size ( Tiguan / Karoq etc).

Driving position is excellent compared to some of the Citroen’s I have had in the past. Infotainment is very good once you figure it out. I had a cactus for a while and thought this might be a bigger version of that, but it is much better.

Overall this does feel very French which is what I love. It’s very much like the Alpine, a sort of French quirky softer riding alternative to the mainstream.
