Hi All,

The cigarette lighter in my car works as when I push it down, it heats up and pops out and it's orange.

However, when I plug my Bluetooth device in, this won't work. It's not the device as I've tried two different ones and also tried them in my DP and Dads cars and they work fine.

If I put the Bluetooth thing (technical term haha) in and play around with it, it works at certain angles

Any ideas what the issue could be and how I go about fixing it?

It's a 2006 clio if that makes any difference

P.s. first time poster and know zero about cars so go easy on me!

The contacts on the adapter are probably a bit 'springy' and it isn't wedging in quite properly. I have this with usb chargers in the Alfa lighter socket.

Not a very elegant solution but wiggle the thing in the socket until it comes on and then wedge a small piece of folded paper (nothing metallic) down the side of the adapter in the socket to stop it moving and coming out.

Nope, but it’s a solution I’ll take!

I’ll give that a go otherwise it looks like a trip to the garage.

Thank you smile

Sorry... I’ve replied to you below 🙈. Still getting the hang of this thing haha.
