Hi everyone.

My Clio 172 (non-cup) will soon be due its second cambelt change. I want to use the opportunity to change the belt, pump, tensioner, dephaser pulley, as well as the auxillary belt and tensioner. I was thinking of taking the car to K-Tec, but that would mean travelling to Dorset and being stranded there without a car. I live in West Sussex and was wondering whether anyone knows of a good specialist (or just a good independent garage) in the area that I can entrust with the above job?

Thanks!

Depending on where you are within the WS, I had to end up going to Ren7Oaks to have the job done (based around Gatwick).

Thanks, that's not too far away from me. How would you rate them for price and quality? How quickly did they complete the work?

I would say good but they didn't go above and beyond the parts that I supplied.

I specifically asked them to investigate a clunk but they didn't bother. Lucky I have another decent garage close by who are more than happy to poke around and give some feedback without taking the piss.

Quick turn around and ready when stated.

Can't knock the service all in all.

Aren't they based in Sevenoaks, not Gatwick? Still nearer than KTEC mind you.

The Clio Man (Gary Spooner) is based in Littlehampton. Renault sports specialist, very reasonable price for work and very knowledgeable

Speak to Ian and Tim at EMS in Littlehampton. Ian was Renault Technical Expert before going into partnership with Tim. Working lifelong Renault. They did virtually all my work when I was buying and selling Renaultsport 2005-2016. Certainly your best bet for your Clio 172 maintenance.

I had a drive shaft changed by Gary AKA Clio Man in Littlehampton Really knows his Clio’s.
Hebwill be looking after my 182 going forward. He also sold me a gorgeous set of Team Dynamic 15 inch wheels with Yokohama tyres.
Unfortunately he has also suggested a package of up grades that will be going on the car in the new year

Gary is a top bloke and knows his stuff.

The wheels were from my black Clio 182 which is at Garys for breaking, the wheels are basically like new. One of the best modification I did on my car as it reduces the rotational mass as they are lightweight. Enjoy...
