I'm guessing you've seen the red 3-door on Ebay for £7500 and it's too pricey?

'CAR IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDIOTION THROUGHOUT'

/apart from where someone has had a piss on the back seats

Unless thats what 'condiotion' means?
Certainly looks a bit 'damp'

More than I paid for my 3 year old one back in early 90s!

Good luck.

There's only 50 left regularly taxed and 300 SORN - though I expect a lot of the SORN ones are actually scrapped.

You can't afford to be fussy with them anymore as they hardly ever come up for sale. It's a case of pay up for a decent one, or be prepared to pay £000s to get a dodgy one up to a decent standard (if you can find the parts).

The 309 was a good car in its day but its an even better classic in the modern era ! (2018)

I thought the 309 diesel was a hell of car a bit boring for the usual people here but it was a hell of a reliable workhorse
agreed. back in the day you had guys in 2.0 injection sierras and cavs but on our fleet we generally had the diesel 309s.

I had an SLD then a much nicer SRD. 65bhp no turbo but it went okay. no handling issues.

I thought PSA had just opened a new Heritage parts company that included having new-old-stock 309 parts. Granted, some stuff will be impossible to find now, but at least Peugeot is now acknowledging the existence of these cars (although actually my Peugeot dealer's parts counter back in the day I had these was amazing when it came to sourcing 309 parts - sadly the dealer is long gone!).

Good shout.

I had one of those in the 90’s, with handling, braking and light performance mods and even managed to fit a set of 205 GTI Leather seats in.

I remember seeing it on a Pug stand at Trax the following year and being told by someone nearby lthat the ‘current owner’ had done all the work himself. (Well, the terrible aftermarket gearknob was his anyway).
