A good review of the car by a forum member. Lot more detail about living with it day to day.

The car is fantastic and fellow Alpine owners have been great fun to meet so far!

They are rather addictive! We'll have to set up a Alpine's anonymous group and meet up.

Love this car, sat in a black one at nec classic car show last weekend, interior quality better than I expected & seat are fab. Can’t stop thinking about it, my 718 porkers days maybe numbered... am I mad... Maybe, but even my partner liked it in the pics I took & she loathe the Porsche. I’m thinking white with offset twin blue stripes.

There are a fair number of us who have come from 981s or 911s and as far as I know none of us has been certified or regretted their decision. If you are happy with the showroom appeal, and the luggage space isn't a killer, then I'd be surprised if the drive was a disappointment. Just give it a whirl and see what you think,

Good review of Alpine A110 Premiere vs McLaren 570S in this week's Autocar 21/11/2018 more about how it compares with half BHP and 1/3 of price. Does well.

I've driven a 4c which was great fun, but the Alpine is a little easier to live with as a daily driver.

Here's one, pity you can't upload with a higher resolution.

There are a few more on Flickr in a higher resolution: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmsAS3md

So my Premiere edition is here and I collect on Thursday! I have never driven one and this is a total punt, but I have a good feeling based on all the write ups and videos.

It seems a pretty exclusive group this one.

Congratulations, you won't regret it.

Presumably you are picking up a showroom car or one of the demo fleet.

That's correct yes. I hope I don't! Bought it totally blind, not driven one either!

I'm sure you'l like it - but if you have to run it in (limit of 3500rpm) don't judge the engine until you can give it its head. I wouldn't regard the engine as great - but, unlike many turbos, doesn't come alive until you give it some revs. On the other hand if the chassis doesn't grab you by the first roundabout .....

I had one for a day to play with and I agree with the sentiment set out by Cheddar

I had a 4C and I totally agree, however my experience has not started well. The funny thing is the recovery driver that came for my 4C came and collected the Alpine today! I drove it for 14 miles before every warning light imaginable came on.

He knocked on my door and couldn't believe it. Neither can I, totally gutted.

Oh no, thats not good. Lets hope its a one off problem rather than inherent across the model.

I has similar with my new A6, all because an earth strap wasn't correctly fitted. Once the dealer had fixed that and replaced all the bits of electronics that got fried the car was faultless for 118k miles when I sold it.

It's certainly not a general problem - no one has reported that problem here or in France. One or two people have had a software glitch which required turning the engine off an on again. I also know that there is an issue with some cars (not mine) where once the auto stop function cuts the engine it won't automatically restart and you have to restart it manually (fix coming in May) .

The only issues I have heard about are:

1. Fan relay replacement, not heard of any horror stories though.
2. Windscreen cracking in a small number of cars.
3. Issue with stop start not restarting.

I have personally not had any issues and none of the above seem to be common or major issues.

Will be interesting to hear what has caused this.

It's not a fan relay that is replaced (mine has just been in for the recall) according to the engineer it's simply replacing a the 40a fuse and diode with a 20 amp fuse. (Yes I have got that the right way round). The engineer didn't know what was the thinking behind it.
