Took one for a test today and was left with mixed emotions. Loved the power and feel, but as I do 20k a year even trying to control MPG left me feeling cold. Gutted as I had built it up but even with man maths I cant justify the spend even with the 0% deal and the monthlies being £200!!

Not many people get off on controlling MPG that's for sure.

Photo for Nick! I've only got the one from the dealers hand over bay.. I noticed your post about Android auto - I've just been using it and can confirm it's using most of the screen without changing any settings

Cheers, appreciated! The tight git in me has won again anyway lol, it was too late in any case... Will probably regret that one...

Still enjoying it?

Most of the reviews are for the manual, any idea how the auto version fairs? I presume it's the same EDC\DSG type box as the Clio?

The £200 per month deal seems to have gone. Much more expensive now.

Not taking orders for manual cars, trophy yellow or volcanic orange.

Going back to the dealer next week to see if things have changed.

Difficult to say. My guess is you'll get 30mpg long term average, perhaps 32mpg if you try...
Been playing the economy game with mine for the last month or so.

My usual average is about 26mpg when driving around in Sport.

I've intentionally left the car in Neutral.
My daily route is only a short 6 mile drive to the train station, along 30-40mph roads, sometimes in traffic, other times quite free flowing. Usually takes 12-15 mins. Air con has been on the whole time.

I managed to get an average of 31.6mpg on the first tank, and 30.9 on the other.

I tried the eco mode, and even though it has the slow throttle mapping on it, I didn't really notice it any different to drive to Neutral and I didn't notice any increase in economy either.

I've now dropped to 27.7 average on this tank due to maybe 1 or two moments of hard acceleration, some traffic and leaving the car running for 5 minutes to get the air con to cool it down before putting the dog in there on Friday.

On a long run at motorway speeds, I think you'd see 35-36mpg quite easily if you're gentle on the throttle.

Interesting, thanks! I'll be happy with 30mpg overall as I'll get loads of 5mpg runs on tracklaugh

I've had my Trophy just over a week now. Over 500 miles in and I'm very happy. The car is full of character that was missing from the Golf GTI i've moved on from. Looks and sounds fantastic, gets lots of comments and rubber neckers!
The ride is very firm but not jarringly so, Speed bumps do need to be taken very slowly though.
4 wheel steering isn't as lively as all the journo's prepared me for. Seats are very comfortable and the infotainment [smaller screen] isn't as bad as journos made out either (but not as good as VW).
Economy - so far i've averaged 33mpg.
I'm still 'running in' so haven't opened the taps properly yet. Gear change is very notchy and not easily hurried, especially into 3rd.

Only annoyances are the key card which I hate, i'm convinced i'm going to lose it. I've turned off the hands free central locking feature for peace of mind.
I wish I could open all the windows from the key card but as far as I can tell that's not possible.
I still need to spend time figuring out the systems and settings to configure for my day to day driving.

Hey, Sorrento

Congratulations!

As to windows, normally you need to hold Unlock button for 3-5 seconds to open the windows after unlocking the doors, at least on other Renaults.

Please share your experience about ground clearance vs curbs, ramps, and parking entrances? Any issues in this department?

Can the key card be attached to a set of house keys?

I reckon the gear shift will lose a little of its notchiness with use.

Renault do a leather pouch for the key to live in which allows you to attach the keys.

I think they cost about £8 each to us. I normally just supply them FOC, you can actually use the keys then.

I’ll get a part number tomorrow.

I like the key cards. Just keep it in your pocket. No need to get it out to open or lock the car.

They key cards are great, just be better if they hooked your other keys on like the older generation ones did!

I'd rather keep them separate. Guess it depends how you like your keys!

Problem is if I keep it separate it's one more thing to lose... Phone, keys, card, glasses, wallet etc etc.

Grandpa.

Agreed. Plus my driving gloves, ration book, incontinence pants, little blue pills bought from the internet etc...the list is endless!
