Around 5000rpm vibration (stops above say 5500rpm) from dash/centre (ish) that almost sounds electrical, as if it's a noise coming through the fake sound/induction path. Different sound modes however do not alter it. It may just be some plastics resonating in there somewhere or even something on the bulkhead.

Managed to fix the above today.
I was convinced it was coming from behind the SatNav/Screen or even noise through the bose centre speaker because it sounded like an electronic buzzing.

From the passenger seat my son thought it was my B-Pillar.

Lots of provoking today and i found if I pushed the overhead lights/alarm sensor/passenger airbag warning unit towards the front screen the noise was not present.

When we arrived at our destination I gave the unit a bit of a thump forward, so much so the back bit unclipped. Clipped it back in and a spirited drive home was noise free.
So much nicer now and you feel you can push the the redline without hearing something that can make you back off slightly. Happy Days.

Well done Scott, one of those "life begins" moments. It's so annoying and you can't trust yourself with the source of noises in a car, it's probably never where you thought it was coming from. Mine has been noise free but only covered 2500 miles, although with varying degrees of commitment laugh

Going to get a trickle charger for the rs 280. Does anyone know what type of battery it is? Some google searches suggest it may be lithium which would mean a different kind of charger.

I believe it's only on the Trophy R so the 280 should have a conventional battery. As ke the dealer to be sure though.

I don't know if it's standard fit but I believe the trophy can have the lightweight battery. I visited the Nottingham dealer to take a look at the RS in November, they had a Trophy in the workshop in bits; it'd been jump started which I was told had fried battery and a chunk of the loom!? Better to check before connecting anything...

Not AFAIK but RUK are sometimes a bit last minute with spec changes or updates etc. I can’t see anything new happening for a year or so yet really.

Let me guess, the normal RS will get the 300PS engine that was previously the preserve of the Trophy, they do it every time (250->265->275...)

That and few other tweaks. Generally does pay to buy the last iteration of a RS model (if you can wait that long).

Upcoming new owner here too (from the lease deal). Cup pack with povo lease spec (just metallic paint). Not how I would have spec’d it myself but at the price i can’t complain.

Comes on Monday, can’t wait...

How did you get yours so quickly? My finance documents haven’t even been sent to me yet!

Found out about the deal on the first day it came out about three weeks ago, then took a few days for paperwork and then 2 week cooling off. Through leasehub? 3 + 23 £225 a month. Such a bargain for what it is!

Excellent. What mileage is that for and does that include Cup and paint?

Yep, cup pack and metallic black, on 5k (8k wasn’t much more but it’s a 2nd car so 5 will be enough for me). As far as I know no other options. Would definitely have liked the bigger dash screen but I’m sure I’ll cope!
