Any new Megane RS 280/300 owners?

Hi a pot hole in mine over the weekend coming over the B4560 (Llangynidr mountain road).
Made a hell of a bang (scared the crap out of the dog!), pulled over in a safe spot (which annoyingly was a couple of hundred yards after the pot hole) and ended up with two destroyed tyres!
Had to wait 4 hours to get a recovery truck to take me home.
Car is now sat in the drive waiting for replacements.
Couldn't get any Bridgestone S001 tyres, so went for PS4S instead. I've always liked the Pilot Sports (had the PS2 on the Megane and PSS on the Clio). Will stick the new tyres on the back and wear out the Bridgestones on the front so at least I'll end up with matching wear levels again!

Yeah I'll absolutely be sending them a letter and a bill.I reported the pot hole to them and they're "investigating". If they do decide to repair it, then that gives me even more ammo!
Car has new tyres fitted. I think the alignment needs to be checked though. It's a bit hard to tell since the new tyres are now on the back, and the old ones are on the front ( but since one of them was from the back, the wear is quite uneven!). I might need to switch them round and do a proper test.
You may end up having to put those new tyres on the front. I had an accord type-r years ago - had a limited slip diff - and I needed to replace one of the front tyres.
It was downright dangerous over 40 mph, pulling all over the place. Tried getting the tracking done, adjusting pressures etc, but in the end the solution was to get another new tyre on the front. I assume it was because of the difference in wear made the rolling radius different

Thankfully the rears have almost zero wear, so if I get a new Bridgestone, it should match the old rear tyre almost perfectly. Not ideal having different tyres on the front and back but it wont be a problem for a daily.
Will try it tonight, otherwise it'll be booked in with Renault for a checkup and alignment.

I recently sold 981 Cayman due to family things and desperately want similar performance in family friendly package now.
Need to decide on RS spec quickly but in doubt about Trophy (cup chassis mostly) and whether to go for buckets in a daily car.. Porsche was surprisingly comfortable, but I don't mind to have something more stiff. No chance to try RS here as the nearest to come only in August.

I had the same issue with the wheels on my 280 Cup. They ran out of the black so I had to go diamond cut. Plan was to get them refinished in black but I quite liked the diamond cut look when they arrived.
If you go for the same wheels as your Cup S, just bear in mind that the are a different offset. The wheels from the Mk3 will not fit over the front brake caliper on the 280. (I still have an old 250 Cup wheel in my garage so thought I'd give it a go).
Just ordered a 280 manual on flat white paint and just Cup for November delivery. I'll be using Android Auto so the big screen doesn't help as I think Android only uses the top of it anyway.
Trophy didn't work for me as it will be tracked, 18' will be fitted with AD08r and one piece discs will be cheaper once the Rs29 has eaten through them. Deal seems strong based on our resident Renault dealer' view...
I feel the std bucket seats are a massive improvement over the old std seats so Recaro perhaps less crucial unless you need a harness, which I will have to live without this time around. I think the car should be fine on more open tracks but perhaps not so clever on tight stuff so will focus on Silverstone, Spa, Ring and Laon if it's ready next year.
