Any new Megane RS 280/300 owners?

Excellent, looks like they have plenty of availability so can hold off until my next outpatient assessment to see how my mobility is and if/when I am permitted to drive before booking but for £10 it will be worth doing anyway. Services are really cheap on these too!

Renault used to be very reasonable with servicing, but something has changed in the past few years and prices have rocketed.

I had an answer message saying my 3rd service is due, which includes brake fluid apparently. Can't wait to see how much they want to charge for that.

I bought a service plan for my 300 auto trophy after it needing serviced after just 6300miles. The website says £1399 for 4 years/40k but that is for cars registered after 1st October 2020. Mine was registered end of September and the price is £699 for 4 years/40k!!!

So if anyone hasn't had there first service yet and their car was registered before 1st October 2020 it may be worth you checking out the service plans as £1399 just seems ridiculous!!!

I don't usually do maintenance on lease cars but I saw the high tyre wear, and annual (most leases were 2 years) and went for it on the 280

I’m continuing to accumulate loads of scratches from normal driving … do I have a leg to stand on with Renault?
The paint just seems st tbh, every time I check the car over I find another one!

So was wondering whether it is still possible to order a new RS Megane with the on set of Alpine at some point soon.
One dealer has said no that's it.
Visited another local dealer and they said factory closed currently, (holiday I assume) but yes you can still order.
Waiting for them to confirm in writing though.
Can you spec Recaros in the standard 300 or is it limited to the Trophy only?

What colour? Paint chips or hairline scratches?

I'm surprised by this as I've found the paint on mine to be one of the best I've had, very resilient to chips and scratches. Would be interested to see some photos.

Yes have had a play with the configurator but just confused with the mixed messages from the dealers.

Assumed the Recaros were only Trophy option but wondered if you could order as a special.

I have a 280 without Recaros.

I had Recaros in my 250. Back then, there was a world of difference between the standard seats and the Recaros, now, the standard seats are so good I just wouldn't bother.

They've very comfortable, very supportive, and you'll give up the seat heater if you go Recaro.

That's my experience too, the MK4 std seats offer as much support as the Recaros, including on track.

The biggest benefit to the recaros is how much bigger it makes the interior feel!

Do they still have that really annoying bar where the feet of your back seat passengers are meant to be? That was my main complaint with them in the 250.

I have just read through this thread and enjoyed doing so.

I am picking up a 2019 Megane RS later on in liquid yellow and trading in a 2019 118 M-Sport that I have only had 6 months.

The used car prices made the trade in value almost £2k over what I paid for it, so really strong.

The BMW is a great car, I just wanted something with a bit more zoom, and am really anxious that I have jumped away from the BM too quickly.

However this has been a reasonably reassuring thread, the only concern I have is the rather naff infotainment as the iDrive system is really good.
