Hi. Enjoyed reading this thread. I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the new Legend GT. Admired them for a while now and when I saw the GT at Salon Prive I had to go and test drive one. The spec in silver with the tan leather is stunning. Not many options to choose from, heated seats and premium sound the two i will probably go for. Not going to be tracking it so track pack doesn't add any value to me. Anything else I should consider or bear in mind? Cheers.
I'd listen to the premium sound - with the subwoofer. I have had a courtesy car with the premium audio and spent time configuring it and comparing it with the standard Focal system on my PE. Personally, however set up, I think the bass is much woolier than the standard focal audio, which already has good crisp bass. I'd avoid the storage pack - it's a rip off and impedes access to the space behind the seats. Whats the track pack - I can't see it on the configurator.

It's not on the configurator for some reason but gives you various graphics on the central screen. Stop watch, G meter, engine stats, etc.....

One thing I noted was that the water temperature fluctuated between 83-104 during the journey round the M25. I'm hoping "they all do that sir!" Planning on taking it out for an evening ride once the traffic dies down. It has a really nice ride. smile
Yup, this seems to be common to all A110s — the temperature reading isn't damped, unlike most cars.

Great, that was my thinking smile

Ah - it's what used to be called Telemetrics . Was £192, probably a tad more now. I would regard them as essential for track work gives lots of useful temps - clutch and gearbox oil temps. Even for the road it's useful - it's the only way you will get an engine oil temperature gauge. It was orginally said you could load track maps - but that was never implemented.

Just got home - Mrs has gone out for a drive in it. There was one little nick in the front spoiler that my daughter spotted - will get that sorted soon. Need to get a passenger mat and any other items on the list.

With regard to the small nick, I've found mine has picked up several already. I thought I'd missed one when checking it over in the showroom but I think it had developed in my care. Yesterday morning I noticed another one so I guess they're quite sensitive particularly along the bottom lip.

I agree, I have picked up a couple on the front lip and one on a mirror annoyingly. Will try and see how much touch-up paint is from the dealer next time I go in.

Has anyone considered PPF? Although done properly it is not cheap.

Also, I have seen some pics with the inner spot lamps tinted yellow, which I think looks rather cool. There is one for sale on PH (via an auction site) at the moment that is like that.

Is it just a yellow film that has been applied? Memories of my Dad painting the headlamps of our MK2 Cortina 1600GT yellow before driving to France

When I bought mine I left it as is, then I picked up a nick in the front spoiler so I had ppf put on the front half of the car.

No further chips so its definitely done its job and cost about £1000 if I remember correctly.

Xpel have a template for the Alpine.

I would recommend it if the car is a keeper like mine.

Thanks, that is helpful.

My wife now saying "when" you get an Alpine instead of "if" smile

Next year could be a possibility but enjoy reading about them on here at the moment.

One of the great things about them is they appeal to both sexes. Lady VP tolerated my Lotus, was very much against a Porsche but loves the Alpine.

However this is because of the quilted door trim and the colour and nothing to do with the light weight and double wishbone suspension..

I wasn't personally very keen on the quilted leather initially, but do find the S without it rather plain.

I've currently got an 110S as a courtesy car and will be doing well over 100 miles in it. Current impressions are that I really wouldn't want to live with the ride, but the extra grip is very apparent when you push it and there are times (mini roundabouts in particular) when the extra roll stiffness is benficial. Steering seems a bit dead around the straight ahead but that probably translates into greater high speed stability if you feel the need. Definitely more understeer. As has been said in other roadtests the S feels more "mainstream" - but I'm not convinced that is a good thing.

Interesting. It does seem like the base car makes a lot of sense unless you want to track it.

I have tracked both - albeit only 7 laps in the S - but even there I don't find it is clear cut. Yes, I'd be pretty sure if you are after lap times the S has it - but I go on track to learn about the car, improve my own skills and have fun - I'm not convinced the S is better in that regard. In any case neither would be my "weapon of choice" on track.

Having had another 70 miles or so with the S, I'm happy with my choice. I would go so far as to say that, although I chose the 110 over an Evora 400/410 had it been a 110S/Evora choice, the Evora would have got the nod.

Hi, sold my 4C and looking for something else(to probably sit in the garage again), when i brought the 4C it was a choice between these 2, 4C was a great car and i loved it, looking around there are not many Premiere Editions available which would be my first choice..why i dont know, maybe because it is the first edition, i had the Launch Edition 4C which came with all the carbon fibre extras. I dont really know enough about the various models, can you please shed light on the differences between the Premiere,Pure and Legende.
thanks

My buyers guide is here https://www.renaultalpine.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&... In essence there is no fundamental difference between the three models EXCEPT the Pure and PE have bucket seats the Legende so called "comfort" seats. The Pure has less kit (and smaller wheels) as standard than the other 2, but can be optioned up. The PE has a numbered plaque and almost all options as standard.

If you get an Alpine I suspect it might not spend so much time in the garage - it's so usable that some who bought one as a weekend fun car use it as a daily.

"So for the kind of hooligan behaviour that might get you black-flagged on a trackday, the A110 is the one to have. When you’re chasing lap times and driving more like a racing driver than a joy rider, though, the A110S is so superior you wonder if the two cars are really that similar after all. It’s keener, more responsive, better controlled and ultimately a good deal quicker on circuit: a prize greyhound darting its way around a dog track while the A110’s dappy Labrador puppy leaps around and chases its own tail."

So we've all bought the hooligan version, I'm not unhappy with that.
