Thanks for the insight. It’s going to be a long few weeks until mine arrives in May. Should be quite a step up from my current Panda 100hp daily driver, although that has prepared me well for a firm ride!
OOOOO a Panda 100HP? Good man! Keeping it I hope?Still tempted by the lease rates on these.
Just back from a test drive with a Cup version. Quite enjoyed it tbh, especially the exhaust pops. Nice looking car, front Renault badge is huge lol
Ride is firm, but I guess that all relative. I'm comparing it to my previous Cupra and Golf R which are both softer.
If I do order it would probably be the non Cup in either Black or Grey.
Any other thoughts from those who have taken delivery.

Can you order a non-Cup 300?Just back from a test drive with a Cup version. Quite enjoyed it tbh, especially the exhaust pops. Nice looking car, front Renault badge is huge lol

If it is a daily then I'd suggest strong case for the non-cup.
The ride on the 18" wheels is just about bearable, so I imagine it would be pretty dire with anything bigger. I'd stick with the 18" regardless of cup or not.
The manual 'box is OK. It is chunky in its throw but a little recalcitrant from time to time. The clutch has a high bite point and is quite highly sprung. Although I'm enjoying the interaction after over 2 years in an auto, I'd not rush to suggest the manual and I believe the auto to be quite good, so worth considering. I'd also add that with the aggressive differential, having an auto would also allow both hands on the wheel when accelerating ...
The standard seats are very good and other than being heated, there is nothing not to like.
Choose your colour wisely; I think that the shape of the car attracts a lot of spray and dirt which makes keeping it looking clean difficult. The metallic grey on mine looks fantastic when clean but doesn't stay that way for very long!
The cup chassis with a manual 'box is acceptable as a daily driver but it is without doubt a focussed car and is intended such. I think it's great that Renault offer two setups for differing circumstances; just make sure you pick the right car for you.
If I had a choice, I'd probably go with the non-cup ... but given mine is a lease at only just over £200/month I'm happy to compromise!

The RS was never on my radar really until the cheap leases appeared recently. Seems to be the best bang for buck at the moment so will probably go ahead with it.
I felt the same about the gearbox, quite notchy but was reassured it a characteristic of the car... Pretty high clutch as you say too which took abit of getting used to.
Auto adds abit too much to the monthlies for me, it's a second car so will compromise on the manual.
White looks ok with the black detail, but seems rude not to go for metallic if it's included!
Will get some quotes this afternoon, but g2l still look the cheapest at £223 with 3 up front.
Gave it a bath today, couple of small bits of delivery wax removed.
The two rusty areas on exhaust exit cleaned up very easy with some autosol.
Colour is awesome, had lots of comments from people walking by.
Getting a six month coating applied next week & mini detail so car is easy to maintain.
Averaging 27 mpg on my short runs to work.
