White one here https://www.performanceonly.co.uk/glacier-white-re...
A chap from here contacted me asking if I would sell my book / presentation pack as he was thinking of buying it. So I’ve found a Mk3 Trophy R with super low miles. But it is missing the SABELT harnesses, 350mm bi-metal discs and the light weight battery. Non of which you can no longer buy from Renault. I am tempted as it is an as new car but because it does not have the “ring” pack it puts me off.
Thanks for replying mate.
The cars sold now. All the alloys were trashed and the seat was scored / marked. The cat had been replaced (presuming fuel wash) battery was replaced because it sat doing nothing for years. Had zero service history and needed a complete full service. Which I would have done myself and enjoyed doing.
I called Kteck about the car and it was after speaking to him it put me off. I did wonder if the mk4 discs would fit the mk3 as they are bi-metal. It was just that you could no longer get the factory harnesses as I like things OEM. SABELET make them but they aren’t OEM looking. Someone has got a reasonable car though. Prefer white also. Lol.

Hi Paul
So if the PPF was installed from new then absolutely it’s to protect the paint. However, this was not installed from new. It appears to be installed very recently. So could it be hiding a repair or repaint??? You will struggle to tell. I’m not for one second suggesting it has been but you can’t use a paint depth gauge on it to check can you. Unless you remove the film.
It looks a great car and 100% up my street. As clean underneath as on top. But I just feel that’s far too strong money. And £6k for a detail and film is just crazy.
To answer your question yes I am. Always looking for a unicorn.

The R26.R has plastic wings, bonnet and front bumper, I’m not sure what your paint depth gauge would tell you.
Yeah thanks for telling me about a car I’ve already owned. Lol. And theirs more to a car than the front end. Roof, doors and rear quarters also being part of a car.
Glad someone has three. I’d imagine holding onto them as some sort of investment.
Of and the bonnet is carbon fibre not plastic.
Cheers.
Good question Paul.
When I sold the golf a M4 GTS or early GT3 was with in reach albeit chucking everything into it. Then decided to come back into the Renault fold. I see a superb Trophy R with 3k miles. It was a Ph spotlight car but was sold by the time I seen it. See a minted trophy R 300 but house renovations pulled the plug on it and looking back it was too top end. When you see what the CC car sold for last week at £36k it places some perspective. Theirs another car coming up with carbon wheels so will be interesting to see where that goes. And make the delivery mile car for £50k laughable.
You are right considering the it’s freshness etc it would be worth while putting an offer in. Good point Sir.

I’ve only just seen this thread so not sure if you are still looking.
I’ve owned a R26.R and a 275 TR. I also had a decent test drive in the 300TR.
The latter was way too much for the road IMO. Therefore, if I was to use it as a road and track car, I probably wouldn’t have got along with it. A few months after the test drive I discovered the car was still for sale. I was offered it for £40k (list was mid 50s). I declined.
Between the other two, it is a tough call. The 275 is technically better (no surprise), but there is something very special about the original car. If I was using the car on the road with the odd trackday, I would go R26.R. If I was using the car mainly as a track toy, I would go 275. Having said that, I had issues with the brakes on the 275 on track (and my 265 T before that). Never had any issues with the brakes on the R26.R. I did the same mods to both (uprated fluid and pads).
Both are great cars that can easily be used on both road and track, so I think it comes down to where it will spend the most time and whether you can find a good example of either. I would rather have a mint version of either of them than choose one but have to settle for a slightly leggy version of the model I had chosen.
I really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you. I seen the absolute mint R26R has sold. £46k or around that figures. They are just not worth it. I missed the opportunity on a local mint 300TR with 4k miles one owner PPF for £39500. I really want the carbon wheels though. Even if it’s just for show boating. The 275TR on PH looks decent but I’m perplexed by the lower front spoiler mod and the suspension change. Hmmm I’ve owned a R26.R and a 275 TR. I also had a decent test drive in the 300TR.
