Trying to help someone out. Has been intermittent issue that would come up from time to time but would clear on subsequent journey few days later. Also he is getting bad performance on hills from time to time. He had the belt done at main dealer in September light was off at the time.

Have changed both solenoids for China specials via Amazon last week. On taking out for test drive he said it felt better but got the error come up again. Cleared error and couldn't reproduce for 10 miles. Today the car was used again after changing out the battery as that only had 35pc CCA available and got a CEL again.

Anyone got any tips or advice for this. Was thinking of putting factory solenoids back but swapped positions to rule out bad new solenoid as a start. The factory solenoids filter screen did not have any debris.
