If its around that age focus 1.8 TDCI mk1 ,fantastic drive and very well proven mechanicly , but there is no way would i buy a renault outside of warranty for the fear of the cost of fixing it if it goes wrong , just out of interest how many problems have you had with the 307 , as they seem to have loads of problems with the electrics mainly down to the ecus etc on the Can-bus side of things .

since i bought the car in August (done 10k miles since now on 33k)ive had 3 new tyres, front discs and pads, exhaust squeak fixed, auxillary belt change and a new rad

im looking for something the same size but more economical 3 door around 52/53 reg for £5-7k.

Again, a very common failing on 307s/206s
