Ok, so it comes tommorow. I've taken the plunge from just talking about it to actually doing it, and wanted to know whether this is re-living the highlights of swervy lights and Citroen being a bit odd-but-in-a-good-way, or I've just shouldered a whole heap of French weird...

PS, not a new one, so at least lost some of the initial hit...

PS, anyone else actually got/ordered one?

Well done for being one of the brave, it looks a great car and so different to the competition, hope it works out well for you.

Thanks Tripps,

Don't know why I'm looking for the support, I know I want one - just that I've been brainwashed over the past few years into thinking it'll go pop, or the doors'll fall off in a comedy circus car stylie. :0

Still, it's different.. and I just couldn't stand by when all the car mags were saying 'great car - but nobody will buy one'. Mind you, it's bound to end in tears - always does when I do the early-adopter thing. Anybody fancy a Laser disc player still going cheap?

Wow, where did you find a used one?

I'm a little disappointed they couldn't have incorporated the steering wheel off the C4 and the also the iffy "feel" of the dash material, but if they're available used so soon I'll put my money where my mouth is.

Hey yáll,

first, I´ll get some snaps up asap - I´m abroad at the moment so finding it quite hard to sort the bloody computer!

As for the Big 6... we´re 600 miles down and...interesting. Definitely just love the way it looks (but it looks massive on the driveway.. and feels it in the multi-story), but it´s been giving me a spot of cramp from the throttle pedal position. Kind of kinks my foot at an odd angle and makes me a touch uncomfy. Must play with seat more. Feels pretty darn tight all round, more tech than I remember (that works!). Really like the swivelly headlights.. and they make a difference.

The ride is a big plus, but not as ´magic carpet´as they might have you believe. Also the steering is just shite in terms of feel, but that´s a deliberate thing to make the car feel like a different experience - not orientated on performance like a Beemer. But they could have put a bit more feel in, it can be a bit disconcerting to be in such a large car and be able to steer with a little finger...

But everyone loves it. My lad loves it. The wife loves it. People stare, but not because they think you´re a knob, but because the design and execution is genuinely different on the road. Best view is rear three-quarter when suspension on lowest setting. Yet to try taking a wheel off when on full height- but I´m just sad enough to see what happens for the sake of it!

Got black leather with dark wood - all good and couldn´t see the cream standing up to my toddler (LIKE bAM bAM from teh flintstones...)

Not a car that I can honestly say that I´ve completely fallen for instantly. But that´s why I got it - to try something new. Will get some snaps and more thoughts to you as soon as I´ve rescued her from H´Row capark..

Cheers,

APe.

PS. Is a big Citroen a ´she´??
