306 td wont start

hi new to this so please be gentle. my sons 306td nreg 1996 wont start , it happened when he wheel/spun acoss the road, the car cut out and now wont start.any help thaks . also he as a s16 for sale mreg 84000 good condition thanks kev

loose connection? low on diesel and has air in the system? Difficult to diagnose without looking at it.

Doesn't turn over or doesn't fire? Any sign of life at all?

hi the engine will turn over and glow plugs heat up just wont start

As its an older mechanical diesel I bet it is the glowplug relay. I can't see how a thump would stop the fuel system, electrics are more likely to bust given bash. And I'd think relay cause if it were plugs themselves then it should show some sign of starting.

There is also a relay (solenoid?) to stop the fuel but not sure if this could fail in a way to stop the car or not.

Had one fail on a 405TD and the engine would not switch off.
