106 GTI brakes

I have been considering replacing my worn discs front and rear, not bothered about performance ones in all honesty as want to keep the car original. However i came across some Mintex brake box's as they call them. Has anyone else on here used them before they seem extremely well priced at just over 100 quid for front and rear discs and all pads. Anyone?

I don't know about the Mintex ones, but I've got Brembo ones on my GTi from EuroCarParts (and the set was *much* less than £100 for front and rear). They're great, the braking has improved far more over my worn old ones than I thought it would.

Any idea which brembo discs and pads they were?

N60110 off GSF car parts I believe - standard vented Brembo disc, £18 each.

Coupled with new standard brake pads, and a rebleed of the braking system, it's made the braking pretty decent. Perfectly enough for everyday fastish road driving, but probably not up to trackday use.
