Sounds bad i have a feeling i know who you are on about. Have you aproached them about your concerns for the vehicle? Do you feel you were sold a dangerous vehicle?

If its really that bad it may be worth breaking it and getting what you can for it, cos it'll cost you probably asmuch as teh car is worth again to fix it up

Did the car not come with a warranty or guarantee? I thought that was how they justify charging such ridiculous amounts of money?
To fix the rear beam and brakes you will be looking at spending at least £500. It could well be (and I wouldn’t be surprised) that the whole car is in a sorry state of maintenance – suspension, brakes, engine, gearbox etc and that you’ve basically bought a shiny dog that’s probably worth £1k tops. In which case, you’ll be looking at a few grand to get it all ship-shape again. Where in London are you and who did you get to inspect the car?

Sadly no it would appear. They sell shiny cars from what I can gather.
