Replacement Front Pads

Before I commit card to Internet I was wondering if there are any particular recommendations?

I've got Ferodo DS2500s on the back and had those on the front also until it was serviced last year (they replaced them with OEM copies with asking ), which I was very happy with, so may well go with those again, but always amenable to suggesttion...

Your DS2500's on the rear cant be doing much work as the heat isnt getting into them. Go for the same on the front again if you are happy, i highly recommend Ferodo pads all the time.

I have recently put Ferodo's on too and allthough my brakes definately need bleeding again the pads are noticeably different.

I dunno, under heavy braking they suddenly become very active as the front tries to pass the rear! Amazed me given the MOT failing ability of the rear brake balance on the Cups.

I had the pleasure of helping to test a 106 Cup rally car some time ago, this was fitted with large AP 4 pots on the front, Mintex 1155 pads on the front on gravel going up to 1166's on the tarmac. We tried 1144 on the rear and couldnt get them to heat up enough and so the handbrake would never work. We went down to OEM Peugeot pads and the handbrake improved as well as a need to back off the bias from the rear. There was so much braking power in the front the weight transfer would just lift up the rear and lock up. I suppose a road car with a bit more weight over the back (not that theres much in a Clio) and less braking on the front may well make more use of the harder pad, but i wouldnt recommend it without a proper adjustable bias in the system to get it right.
