Hello chaps
I just found this section and i thought i might post a few pics of my new (ish) car.

It's a Pug 106....and i Fecking love it! Shes only a 1.1 but being 18, the insurance companys don't like me so i thought i better go small for the first few years......and then drop an Mi16 engine in her, hehe, or not!

Heres a pic from the Ace Cafe meet last monday.

I've got a 1.1 as well mate, cracking fun on the flat isn't it?

Little tip for some tail out fun, find a large private roundabout, turn in a bit quick with the power on then lift off and straighten the wheel, the lift off oversteer in them is brilliantly controllable thumbup

Have fun, keep the revs up and it's quite pokey!

You won’t be sticking an Mi16 in it as it’s an XU engine – you’ll need a TU from a GTi/VTR/VTS etc.

When you’re premiums come down, buy a proper 205 and then stick an Mi16 in it

Nice car mate! Now go buy some tasteful 15inch alloys, and drop in a 1.6 8v TU. Jobs a goodun!

As I say, ditch the 106 and get a 205. If you shop around you might be able to get an XS and they are very nippy cars with great handling. Not much difference in performance between them and a 1.6Gti. Insurance shouldn't be too bad either as they are only 1.4's.

Or get a 106 Quiksilva, lower it, stick on a Gti bodykit, big wheels, bad bwoy exhuast, fat sounds and then go cruising for biatches......
