Hi - Can anyone help me?

Got a message up on the wifes Picasso "arrange service". Had this seviced a couple of months ago ( at a garage 150+) miles away. Is this pointing to a fault, or just a case of resetting the service light? If just the reseting the clock can I do it?

Cheers

It may be that they just didn't reset the service schedule with the car, give them a ring to check to be sure. If you've got a handbook it should tell you how to reset it, otherwise ask the garage.

Maybe - but I thought you just got the standard "Spanner" up for a service. No handbook though.

When you initially turn on the ignition the mileage to next service comes up in the position the mileage usually is this should be 12500 or thereabouts on most models. If they haven't reset after the service hold the 00000 button in and then turn on the ignition wait for the counter to shoe =0 and release the 00000 button .Turn off turn back on.Job done.

FYI - the VW dealer has never once managed to remember to reset the service warning indicator on my wife's cars. Despite being explicitly asked to do so. We just ignore it now!
