VTR gearbox is notoriously over-geared, no idea why. Theoretical top speed in 5th is 160 or something ridiculous! That sounds right for a VTS gearbox though, same as the 106 GTI box. S1 Rallye gearbox is 4,100 RPM at 70 mph so think yourself lucky!

Friendly MOT station is very handy, you should be sorted then!

Yet MORE Fg problems!!!!!

The car has started to mis-fire.
I called the RAC out and the verdict is injectors 1 & 4 are not injecting fuel.

Has anyone had this on a Saxo/106 before, or know how much its likely to cost to rectify it?

Its in the garage Saturday, just thought I get some sort of idea of the problems and cost!

Ive replaced the plugs and Coils aswell and its no better!
