When the interior blower is set on, there is no air coming from the vents at any of the available positions - floor, car or windscreen. Consequently, on cold mornings/evenings the screen gets quite misty.

The fan is working and increases speed as it should when moved from pos 1 to 4.

It is almost like a pipe has disconnected itself behind the dash.

Any ideas? I'm not spending any money on it as it's my daily shed but I might have to get a 12v heater/demister from eBay soon so can see where I'm going without having to wipe the screen every 5 minutes on cold days!

If it's coming out somewhere, snapped heater flap cable. If it's not coming out anywhere, blocked pollen filter or disconnected pipe somewhere.

The green relays in the fuse box under the steering wheel tend to blow which I believe control the motros used to allow air through, try swapping the green ones around and see if it makes any difference, I would imagine on is burnt out.

Cheers, not heard that so will have a look.

Most of the failures I've found have been when the fan has stopped working.

Sounds like a pipe has broken somewhere. If the fan is running that rules out electrical gremlins and the 306 does not have a pollen filter. First port of call would be to inspect the motor unit and the pipe above it.

It lives behind the lower glovebox under a sheet of trim. The sheet is held on with one/two 10mm bolts and some clips along the front. Underneath the motor is held in with three/four t15 screws. Unplug, pull out, remove decades of leaf and matter from the motor and pipework.

If that doesn't work it might be a fault with the direction adjuster thing on the centre console which will have to be pulled out. The whole console will need to come out but it isn't as difficult as it looks or sounds and I can explain how to do it if required.
