I think it would be nice to expect every car offered to be in perfect order, without faults, but realistically with anyone selling classic/ old cars, they very often do have faults.
These should all be disclosed of course, but i would think this is hardly unusual at any car dealership. i suspect they are relying on someone walking through the door, who doesn't know what they are looking? No doubt a hefty "London Premium" tag is also added, just like anything for sale in London. Pretty much a standard car dealer set up, IMO.

I have seen their adverts online of course, but for me all their stock is way overpriced. I was looking around for about a year, and I bought a 97 TR privately in the end, with good history, and fair condition, at considerably less than anything they offered.
It's a strange thing, but I have never really seen cars sell for a premium in London. Infact, a dealer frind of mine (specialising in classic Jaguar, E-type etc.) has had some superb deals within the M25 and rekons cars are cheaper in London. Anecdotal, I know.

However, with Rolls and Bentley, there are a few dealers who only sell really nice examples - they wont market anything under their name that isn't. Off the top of my head, they would include P&A Wood, Derek C Mowat, RR&B Garages - I am sure there are others.

I agree with the post above Hanwells, sell a full spectrum of examples whereas by approaching a top specialist like Mowatt PA Wood or the like you may secure a better vehicle and have less repair bills going forward.

Dave, I think that's the whole point. You can buy a cheaper car and take a higher risk
or pay a little extra from a recommended dealer and have more peace of mind.
A balancing trick that I wish I had managed a little better over the years.

I had a run in with them when I had works completed on my Corniche Convertible during the recession and then laterly with my Bentley Continental on SOR, given the rules in Pistonheads I cannot review their service or their dealings with me during the sale of my car , but I would personally look elsewhere in future

The owner is a chap if I recall correctly called Steve who has glasses. Comes across as very amiable, particularly when he has his hand on your wallet, just check your watch is still on your wrist when you leave...
